Mutual Support
CWP provides a safe space and facilitation of groups where people can gather to support one another with empathy and encouragement. Participants will learn skills they can use to help and engage with fellow participants in a mutually beneficial and supportive way.
Learning a variety of Skills
Participants will learn a variety of skills to mutually support one another (e.g., active listening, effective communication, therapeutic support skills, etc.), as well as relational skills that can translate into their other relationships.
Creating Connections
Peer counseling provides an invaluable opportunity for participants to create meaningful connections with their peers. This support system can help people develop positive relationships. We will explore possibilities of deepening relationships.
Supporting Well-being
Peer counseling is a great way to promote mental well-being. It helps equip individuals with the necessary tools to recognize signs of distress, provide emotional support, and make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
